The Recreation Board will once again be hosting Lower Heidelberg Night at the Reading Fightin’ Phils. This is one of the most popular events of the year and this year will be extra special as it falls on a night that will end with FIREWORKS. The game will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018. For this event, residents of Lower Heidelberg are treated to FREE tickets to the game, along with a FREE All-You-Can-Eat Picnic Buffet. The game starts at 6:45 PM with the buffet running from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM. The buffet, to be held on The Bunbino’s Tailgate Deck, includes: BBQ chicken, hot dogs with a toppings bar, hamburgers & cheeseburgers, baked beans, potato salad, tortilla chips, potato chips, and Pepsi products.
Each Lower Heidelberg Township household can reserve up to 6 tickets (per household) by coming into the Township office or calling us at 610-678-3393. You will be asked to deposit $5.00 per ticket (preferably by check); you will receive a voucher for your tickets. On game day you will receive your deposit check back once you arrive at the stadium to pick up your tickets. You will turn in your voucher at this time, so don’t lose your voucher. (Deposits are only cashed if you do not show up at the game). Children under the age of four (4) do not require a ticket, but must be counted.
Tickets are available on a “First Come, First Served” basis. Don’t hesitate – we only have 144 tickets and they get reserved QUICKLY.
National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; generate support for and participation in, local anti-crime programs; strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
Join us at the Township Building from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. for a neighborhood picnic dinner, games, demonstrations and kid friendly activities. Meet our police officers and staff and learn about what you can do in your neighborhood to prevent crime. In the event of inclement weather, this event will be held in the Township Community Room in the lower level of the building.
