NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed Bids will be received, in triplicate, by the Supervisors of Lower Heidelberg Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania until 10:00 a.m., prevailing time, Thursday, June 17, 2021 at the Township Building located at 720 Brownsville Road, Sinking Spring, PA 19608 when bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. All contracts for the 2021-2022 Highway Salt Seasonal Requirements (08/01/21 – 07/31/22) will be considered for award at the regular scheduled meeting of the Lower Heidelberg Township Board of Supervisors to be held on June 21, 2021 at 7:00 p.m., at the time of the Advertisement via the Zoom Platform.
The following are the materials for the Township’s 2021-2022 Seasonal Requirements: 1,200 Tons of bulk highway salt with anti-caking agent.
Contract Documents for the Salt Bid are on file and can be obtained as a .pdf via e-mail request to firstname.lastname@example.org or paper copies at the Township Building located at 720 Brownsville Road, Sinking Spring, PA 19608 either at no charge.
Each Bid for the Seasonal Requirements shall be submitted with a Bid Security in the amount of 10% of the total of all items bid. All Proposals shall be effective for sixty (60) calendar days. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance Bond in the amount of 50% of the bid.
The Township reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all Bidders, to reject any and all Bids, and to accept any Bid which is deemed most favorable to the Township, at the time and under the circumstances stipulated. The Township also reserves its right, at its sole discretion, to waive any informality in the Bid, and to waive any immaterial omissions, errors, mistakes, defects or irregularities in any Bid.
