First quarter sewer bills have been mailed. Your should be receiving your red, white & blue postcard in the next few days. If you have not yet paid the 2016 4th Quarter bill, you should be aware that collection proceedings will begin to collect these balances; bills unpaid from the 4th Quarter will be subject to water shut off.
Did you know that you can make your sewer bill payment without leaving your home? The Township offers an on-line payment option accessible from this webpage. Processing fees do apply, but if it is difficult for you to get out to pay your bill in a timely manner, this may be the right option for you.
The Township Supervisors would like to thank all of our residents who pay their sewer bill in a timely manner. We appreciate your responsible handling of your sewer bill account.
Residents should be aware that the Township is aggressively pursuing the collection of accounts with arrears balances. All public sewer customers are advised that Lower Heidelberg Township will not be affected by a winter moratorium on water shut off for delinquent accounts. This means that even if you heat your home with hot water, the Township may still initiate the shut off of your water for failure to make timely payment on your sewer account.
Sewer billing accounts with outstanding balances over 90 days in arrears will be subject to a lien being placed on the property. The property owner will be assessed for all attorney fees and any costs associated with the shut off process.
If you are unable to pay your bill, please contact the Township office to discuss your individual situation; we can assist you in setting up a payment plan arrangement.
